Armed subjects set fire to two establishments of Tacos Emilio in the city of Celaya, in the state of Guanajuato, plagued in recent years by organized crime.

According to reports, the attacks took place on February 8 and 9; however, only one was recorded by the company’s surveillance camera.

In the 45-second video, broadcast on social networks, we can see that at 8:46 a.m. two hooded men arrived at the establishment located in the Santa Bárbara district. Then they threatened the employees with sidearms and one of them took the cash register and a bag that was on a counter.

But nothing else was left in a flight. His accomplices threw buckets of gasoline inside, setting the table on fire, but the flames spread to the kitchen.

It should be noted that on video at least four people are observed inside the company: two employees, a customer and a minor.

Enveloped in smoke, one of the employees uses water from a jug to put out the fire, and make room for him, his companion and the customers, who leave the premises in haste.

The second attack took place last Thursday evening, at the Clouthier branch, near Plaza Factoría. There, the subjects threw Molotov cocktails at the truck where preparations for the harvest were being made.

The authorities are already carrying out the corresponding investigations, but so far the criminals have not been identified.

Although the motive for the attack has also not been confirmed, Celaya is one of the towns in the Laja-Bajío area with the most violent acts allegedly related to extortion.
