Faced with the shortage of construction workers in the United States, women have been able to get in on the act. In Globe Live Media we tell you in which states they receive the best salaries for these tasks

Ever since the construction world has struggled to find labor in the face of staff shortages, it has been an opportunity for women to step into a world that has historically been led by men. This has allowed the vacancies that were available in different states of the country to be covered.

And it is that the demand of the real estate market has been much greater and will be, according to the experts, as time goes by, which has complicated the panorama for the construction companies by not finding enough personnel to cover all the vacancies.

According to data from the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics, as of June 2022 there were 334,000 vacancies for construction jobs across the country. In this world, women still represent a significant minority of the workforce in the field, but little by little we see how more women are taking these positions. According to current data, more than 14% of construction workers in the country are women.

Their presence in construction will vary according to the type of work being done. For example, 1 in 10 painters and wallpaperers are women; In addition, 7.4% of them are dedicated to solar and photovoltaic installation, one of the occupations that is growing due to the installation of solar energy.
