• Two brothers used to play the Mega Millions lottery together. This habit gave them results when they matched five numbers and became millionaires

A brother and sister, who often play the lottery together when the jackpot is $200 million or more, hit it big thanks to this tradition. Jesse Perkins and Mary Crider can now boast that they are $1 million richer.

That is the total amount of the prize and the brothers plan to divide it.

On September 20, the brothers played together in the Mega Millions drawing, and to their surprise they matched the first five numbers on one of the tickets they purchased.

“She told me we won and I said, ‘Come on, it’s not April Fools! ‘” Mary told Virginia Lottery officials when she went with her brother to claim her prize.

Jesse’s only plan so far is to donate some of his money to his favorite charities, while Mary plans to travel.
