How should you play Powerball Double Play?
Double Play is a draw that gives a second chance to Powerball players. You can use your Powerball numbers in a separate drawing, whose maximum cash prize is $10 million dollars.
To participate, you must add the Double Play feature to your Powerball ticket by paying an additional $1 per play.
Powerball tickets that include the Double Play feature can win prizes in both drawings.
How do you get your prize?
As with Powerball, prizes must be claimed in the state where the winning ticket was purchased. Players can generally claim a prize of up to $600 at any lottery retailer in the geographic location where the ticket was purchased.
Prizes over $600 can be claimed at the main lottery retailer in each case. There are also some authorized establishments, whose address should be duly consulted as appropriate.
You have time to collect your prize from 90 days to one year, depending on the restrictions of the jurisdiction in which the ticket was sold. The expiration date usually appears on the back of the ticket. If the expiration date is not listed, you should check with your state lottery.
When is Powerball Double Play played?
The Powerball Double Play drawing is held after each Powerball drawing on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.
