Winning numbers for the draw on November 2, 2022:

02, 11, 22, 35, 60, Powerball 23 with Power Play Multiply x2 option

Estimated prize: $1,248 million dollars. The cash value of the jackpot is estimated at $596.7 million, according to Powerball.

How to play?

To play Powerball you just have to select five numbers from 1 to 69 for the white balls. Then you must select a number from 1 to 26 for the red Powerball.

If you match all six numbers you win the jackpot.

How is the prize collected?

Prizes must be claimed in the jurisdiction of the state where the winning ticket was purchased. Players can generally claim a prize of up to $600 at any store that is licensed to sell lottery tickets in the jurisdiction where the ticket was purchased.

Prizes over $600 can be claimed at some lottery offices, depending on the amount, and also at lottery headquarters.

Ticket expiration dates generally range from 90 days to a year, depending on the jurisdiction in which it is sold. The expiration date is often listed on the back of the ticket. If the expiration date is not listed, you should check with your state lottery.

A Powerball jackpot winner can choose to receive their prize as an annuity, given in 30 payments over 29 years, or a single lump sum cash payment. For the annuity, the annual payments increase by 5% each year.

Cash Option is the amount of money required to be in the jackpot fund on drawing day to fund the annual jackpot prize.

What days are the draws?

Powerball drawings take place on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at 10:59 p.m. ET

Wednesday’s jackpot marks the third time in the Powerball lottery game’s 30-year history that the jackpot has reached the $1 billion milestone.

If there is a winner Wednesday night, the jackpot would be the second-largest jackpot in Powerball history and fourth-largest in US lottery history, Powerball said.

If this Wednesday there is also no winner, the prize could rise to the largest purse in the history of the Powerball lottery for Saturday’s drawing.

The largest jackpot in Powerball history, sold in January 2016, was $1.586 billion and was shared by three winners in California, Florida and Tennessee.
