Orlando Florida. — Women-owned businesses can learn more about global expansion at an educational event designed to elevate the conversation and help level the playing field.

Bridging Global Opportunities for Women-Owned Businesses aims to commemorate International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month with events that will empower women.

Co-sponsored by the Women’s Business Enterprise Council of Florida and Puerto Rico (WBEC Florida) and the National Entrepreneur Center (NEC) will provide information on importing, exporting, alliances and innovative ideas on March 7 from 3-5 p.m.

The event will take place at the 3201 block E. Colonial Drive in Orlando. Registration and parking are free and refreshments will be served.

“Opportunities for doing business globally have continued to expand, and we want to ensure that women business owners take full advantage of them,” said Belinda Kirkegard, President of NEC. “Many companies don’t realize how easy it is to enter new markets by crossing borders to connect with partners and customers,” he added.

Nancy G. Allen, president and CEO of WBEC Florida, said “part of growing your business is taking the time to think big,” whose organization helps certify businesses owned at least 51% by companies.
