The first Eco Talk of 2023 by El Eco of LOS40 gave a lot of itself. A conference in which several environmental experts and stakeholders were present to address a subject of vital importance: pollution. And an event in which, how could it be otherwise, the music was very present.

The Catalan singer Vicco, one of the great revelations of the last edition of Benidorm Fest, was in charge of setting this musical note. He did this by performing live, on the piano, a beautiful version of ‘Night’, the song with which she finished third in the appointment that gave the pass to Eurovision to Blanca Paloma.

A few minutes earlier, Vicco had exchanged opinions with the participants of the Eco Talk, in which he recalled that artists “have the privilege of having an exhibition and an audience who follows us We must take advantage of this to, in addition to sharing our content, convey messages like the one that brought us here”.

make known

In this sense, Vicco recalled the role that social networks play in conveying these messages to their fans. “We are sort of spokespersons. This is why it is important to use the networks to share all these messages, articles, publications, etc which can contribute to sensitizing our public to social and environmental causes”.

And it is that Vicco is very aware of its responsibility. “I think we can all contribute our grain of sand,” he explained. “Music is a perfect way transmit messages of conscience. We can apply all of this consciousness to clothing, to shows… to anything, to generate support for this cause. It is very important to participate in the defense of the planet: it is our present and our future. Just by making small changes, we can achieve big things.

There was only one thing left for us to know: what would a lasting “Night” look like? Vicco is very clear about this. “It would be a party with reusable cups and dishes, in which all waste is properly sorted and deposited in the right places. A party that is as respectful as possible of the planet.
