The track of a triple homicide, followed by a suicide, is favored by the police.
The bodies of three children and their mother were found at the bottom of a lake in Minnesota, United States on Friday, reports the American news agency Globe Live Media. The children, two boys and a girl, were all under the age of 5.
According to Globe Live Media, local authorities favor the track of a triple homicide, then a suicide. First, on Friday morning, the body of the children’s father was found at a campsite in Maplewood, near Minneapolis.
An upcoming autopsy
The police then began a search to find the mother and her three children. His car was spotted in the afternoon, along with the children’s shoes, near the lake.
The body of the first child was recovered in the early evening, the second around midnight. The mother was then found on Saturday morning, shortly before the body of the third child.
An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact circumstances of their death.
