Three people, including the shooter, were killed Thursday in a shooting outside a church in Ames, Iowa, authorities said.
The three people died outside the Cornerstone Church, located just outside Ames, according to the Story County Police Department. The church is located off Interstate 35, about 30 miles north of Des Moines.
The police department did not provide details about the shooting, but told KCCI-TV that received multiple reports at 6:51 p.m.
Police reported that there is no longer a threat to the public.
