At least two people were killed and two others injured after a shooting at a nightclub in downtown Houston, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
The shooting occurred at the Clé nightclub at 2301 Main Street around 3:00 a.m., Houston police said in a message on their Twitter account.
Several sheriff’s officers who were off duty came to the nightclub, where a man shot at the assistants. According to authorities, the man was targeting someone specifically.
Investigators said at least one officer shot the suspect and one of the fatalities is believed to have been the suspect.
Authorities have not released the identities of the alleged attacker or the fatalities. It is also unclear what the motive for the shooting was.
