All was not going to be good so far this year and that’s why I’m showing you the five worst exits of the first quarter

We are already in April and that means that the first quarter of 2023 is already over with all that implies in the world of video games. So far this year we’ve had some great releases, but unfortunately we’ve also had some not so good ones that have been a huge disappointment to thousands of players around the world.

Either because of bad user reviews, completely broken releases, poorly optimized games and some of which we still don’t know how they came to be in the state they are in, I leave you with a TOP 5 worst games I’ve come across in the first quarter of 2023. Let’s see what they are:

The worst releases of 2023

5.- Kerbal Space Program 2

  • Launch: February 24
  • Price: €49.99
  • Platforms: PC
  • Metacritic: No review -This is early access-
  • Steam: mixed (6,500 negative reviews / 6,000 positive reviews)

The game was released in early access with many bugs and issues that users did not overlook. It is true that, so far, it has improved a lot with the patches and has a lot of potential, but at launch it was a little big disaster.

4.- The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition

  • Launch: March 07, 2023
  • Price: €59.99
  • Platforms: PC, Xbox Series, PS5
  • Metacritic: Press 72 / Users: 43
  • Steam: Rather negative (300 negative reviews / 100 positive reviews)

A title which in its time was a must and which when it arrived with the new generation went unnoticed. It is true that on consoles it has a healthy approval but on PC it is another story. The compatible version is horribly optimized and consumes more resources than a space station. Some post-launch fixes have improved the title, but you need to keep progressing.

3.- Chief of Crime: Rockay City

  • Launch: March 28, 2023
  • Price: €39.99
  • Platforms: PC, (Xbox Series, PS5 which will be released in June)
  • Metacritic: Press 48/ Users: 52

Another of the titles that we expected a lot and which, for the moment, do not please too much. A rogue-lite/payday with many famous protagonists that ends up getting boring right away.

2.- Forspoken – PS5 – PC

  • Launch: January 24, 2023
  • Price: €79.99
  • Platforms: PC, PS5
  • Metacritic: Press 63 / Users: 18 (PC) – Press 64 / Users: 35 (PS5)
  • Steam: Mixed (2500 negative reviews / 3300 positive reviews)

One of the most notorious failures so far this year, a title that aimed as high as the bump that hit it and resulted in its development team disbanding, joining Square-Enix.

1.- The Last of Us: Part One – PC

  • Launch: March 28, 2023
  • Price: €59.99
  • Platforms: PC
  • Metacritic: Press 56 / Users: 17 (PC)
  • Steam: mixed (11,800 negative reviews / 8,000 positive reviews)

The worst release so far this year without a doubt, a major disappointment which we hope will soon be what is expected of the patch base. The game consumes a lot of resources and is practically broken, so the experience on launch day was horrible.
