The organization of the first mass concert of the pandemic in which safety distances were not respected, which took place at the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona and in which the Love of Lesbian group played, has communicated a positive for coronavirus among its assistants.

Festivals for Safe Culture, the organizing company of the event, has refused to accept the contagion as their own, since the affected person attended a dinner the day before the concert and tested negative for antigens.

Days later, the infected person received the notice from one of the friends he was with at dinner and underwent diagnostic tests in which, finally, he ended up testing positive. In fact, all but one dinner party has been infected.

A rigorous protocol

Festivals for Safe Culture has called for calm before the positive of the concert attendee. “If you tested negative for antigens, it means you did not have enough viral load to transmit the virus.”, They explain. The Germans Trias y Pujol Hospital coordinated all the sanitary measures for the safe holding of the show.

The concert was the second attempt at a pilot test to try to establish a security protocol in events of such magnitude. The first took place in the Apolo room in Barcelona, where 500 people attended and no positive was detected.

The security protocol for the Palau concert was that Attendees had to perform an antigen test and, in addition, give their personal and health data so that the organization can control the infections that occur and its hypothetical relationship with the concert.

Inside the enclosure, Social distance was not kept, but the use of FFP2 masks was mandatory, as well as services separated by social groups, ventilation mechanisms in the ward and hydroalcoholic gel.
