These are the 10 manga that Japan most wants an anime in 2023… and I don’t know of a single one.

Every year an interesting list appears from Japan through which we can see Which manga are the most Japanese people want to see with their own anime. Typically, this list includes well-known names, such as it happened in 2022 with “Solo Leveling”, “Kaiju No. 8” or “Oshi no Ko”, among others. However, for the list of this 2023… I’m sorry, but I know of absolutely no work that ended up sneaking into the top 10, and I remember seeing things like “Dandadan!” they were eligible to vote.

Without further spoiling things, I leave you with the results of ‘The manga we want to see animated‘, a vote that takes place during the celebration of AnimeJapan 2023 (via WSJ_manga):

Personally, I really Over time, I feel a greater disconnect between Japanese tastes in manga and anime compared to what interests us on a western level.. I’m not a regular manga reader, but I work with industry stuff a lot and I’m quite surprised that I don’t really recognize a single one of these names. I don’t know how to read it beyond the fact that indeed the distance between Japanese and international fans seems insurmountable at this point.
