Cristhian Bravo González is on trial for a horrific crash on Flamingo Road that happened before last Christmas.
Cristina Hernández, a pregnant nurse, died after being hit by Bravo.
After the impact, her 7-year-old son, Jacob, who was with her in the vehicle, was seriously injured.
“My sister would be alive if you and your son followed the laws of this country,” the victim’s sister said.
While Cristina’s husband claims his ‘son wouldn’t be mourning his mother’s death if those negligent parents hadn’t allowed their 16-year-old son to be behind the wheel’.
During the hearing, the victim’s sister and husband spoke directly to the young man who was 16 at the time of the accident.
“I hope you will feel the weight of your actions when you are alone in your cell for years to come,” the husband said.
Bravo González is charged as an adult with driving without a license and getting stoned while driving 113 miles per hour.
His father, José Miguel Bravo, is also charged with the accident for allowing his son to drive a car without a licence.
“You and your family are guilty of this, you and your family caused the death of a beautiful woman,” says Cristina’s husband.
