The Covanta plant is still burning and firefighters are working to collapse part of the structure to reach the fire.
“We have walls that are still standing on the south side and that’s a challenge for the structural engineers that are on site,” said Ray Jadallah of the Miami-Dade Fire Department.

It is not excluded that parents will be informed of changes to the school calendar for next week.
Doral Glades and Doral Legacy parks remain closed and all outdoor programs in the area have been canceled.
