A shooting in the neighborhood of Little Havana in the city of Miami culminated in one death and 2 injuries, according to local press reports. The event occurred at dawn on Wednesday and police detectives ask potential witnesses for help to identify the shooter.

The shooting occurred shortly after 3:30 a.m. near the corner of West Flagler Street and Northwest Eighth Avenue.

Miami Police Department spokesman Michael Vega said officers responded to a 911 call that reported gunshots at the scene and when they arrived at the scene there were 3 people with gunshot wounds, one of whom bled to death at the scene.

The two survivors were immediately transferred to Jackson Memorial Hospital, whose doctors managed to stabilize the health condition of each of them.

The police do not have a description of the assailant at this time or the vehicle in which he was, so they ask anyone with more information to call 305-471-8477.
