Shingeki no Kyojin“It moves mountains, well, not literally, but figuratively if you take into account that all the people in the world who are aware of Hajime Isayama’s work have added up, we most likely find something much bigger than a mountain as such. That is precisely why today was a special day, because part 1 of part 3 of the anime’s final season debuted… but out of nowhere Twitter started to burn when they saw that this first special episode wasn’t coming.

Lack of information and impatience unleash chaos in Shingeki no Kyojin’s return

So I leave you alone with some examples of what the social network has been during this afternoon of absolute chaos regarding “Shingeki no Kyojin”:

But what really happened to arrive at this situation on Twitter?

  • Obviously, the root cause of all this was the premiere of the first special episode for the end of Shingeki no Kyojin, which at the time of writing this article has already been airing in Japan for a few hours but NOT in the West.
  • Second, it must be said that there hasn’t been the slightest indication of the official time this episode is going to be available on Crunchyroll. Knowing how highly anticipated the moment is, it lacks a bigger guide for viewers that would easily avoid as much of a stir as the present.
  • In third place, It must be said as always that the fans are very impatient. After all, we know on average that the ‘Simulcast’ does not exist as such, but on the contrary there is always a minimum of 2-3 hours delay in the international broadcast compared to that of Japan. Knowing this firsthand, it’s more than obvious that this Shingeki no Kyojin content wasn’t going to be immediately available in the West, far from it.

Sincerely, I have a feeling these scenarios have happened on more than one occasion before, and if all parties involved were more on their side somehow, we could surely avoid them.. In the end, I can understand both the professional situation that demands silence, and the desperate fan who walks completely blind. We’re talking about “Shingeki no Kyojin”, one of the biggest phenomena in anime history, so the possibility of chaos is ALWAYS there if things don’t tie together properly.
