Shakira, who has lived in the Catalan capital since 2011 when her romance with former footballer Gerard Pique, who ended up getting married, was made public, announced that she was separating from her husband on June 4, 2022 and soon after expressing her wish to move to Miami with their two children.
The trip has been delayed several times due to the need to reach an agreement with Pique over the custody of their children and the health problems of Shakira’s parents, who live in Barcelona and also intend to move to Miami. .
