North Las Vegas police respond to the scene involving a Clark County School District (CCSD) bus.
The events occurred around 4:29 p.m. in the afternoon at the intersection of Cheyenne Ave and Englestad St. In addition, two other cars with passengers were also hit.
Police say a Honda Civic was traveling east on Cheyenne and approaching Englestad, when a Kia Optima pulled off a private road towards Cheyenne.
The Honda Civic struck the driver’s side of the Kia, causing the Kia to lose control and begin to spin east along Cheyenne.
Meanwhile, a SDCC school bus was traveling towards the intersections and managed to stop, but the Kia continued to turn and hit the front of the bus.
There were no children on the bus at the time of the crash and the school bus driver was not injured, authorities said.
The drivers and a passenger of the Honda vehicle were transported to UMC with unknown injuries.
Drivers are advised to take alternate routes as the roads are closed.
