The video very clearly shows that an armed robbery took place around 7am yesterday, just at the intersection of Oak Avenue and Hibiscus Street, a residential area.
The lady got the fright of her life
“We know the victim was walking that morning, and the suspect seen on the video grabbed her purse and left the scene.”
The incident was recorded on a surveillance camera.
“This lady was just doing her exercises, she wasn’t watching, and that’s something she did her exercises.”
It all happened a few blocks from his residence in Coconut Grove. An area that according to neighbors is quiet and attacks of this type do not usually occur.
“She suffered minor injuries to her arms and what took her away were the keys.”
But the panic of the victim was enormous. And police describe the offender as a 6ft tall man in his thirties. He wore a black shirt and hat, red underwear and gray pants.
According to police, the subject fled west on a bicycle.
