We live in a time when teen shows insist on showing us a society corrupted by alcohol, drugs, partying and sex.. External banks arrived in 2020 and proved that it can be take that adventurous spirit of the 80s and 90s and update it under a new aestheticwith an addictive storyline and characters that interest us not because of their traumas, but because of their relationships. Now, almost three years later, season three of Outer Banks is coming to Netflix, and it does so with a clear “more and better“. More ambition and better plots, with a first chapter that offers everything I’ve been asking for since the end of season 2: excitement, adventures and a common goal, to obtain this treasure which resists them for so long.
Outer Banks goes further

However, these are incredible adventures (in every sense of the word), but not very credible.
Outer Banks takes on the adventurous spirit and it tells us a story that could happen to all of us, with more or less plot twists, but without spectacular action sequences or many visual effects. This is precisely what we fall in love with at the start of its season 3: the desire to go further (ambition of course), and at the same time, to continue to please the public who gave him a chance in the year 2000.

Their characters, at some point, will stop giving rise to new storylines unless they force relationships and dialogues. At the moment, at the start of its season 3, this is not happening: the protagonists are more united than ever and there is a common goal that continues to drive them forward.
And that’s what I love the most netflix: allowed us to explore a genre already exhausted on television (only The CW developed similar youth projects) and that here we have revitalized it without changing the formula too much. This, yes, I still find most adults in the Outer Banks obnoxious.
