If you have 4-year-olds at home, there’s no time to waste enrolling them in the Miami Dade Public Schools Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten Program. The deadline is February 25.

The program prepares 4-year-olds for kindergarten. It’s free and available at more than 200 schools in the Miami Dade School District.

These 4- and 5-year-olds will start kindergarten next year with a huge head start. They participated in the voluntary pre-kindergarten program known as VPK.

To educate families about this program, the school district has launched its “Ready, Get Set, Sign Up” campaign. But places are limited on each campus.

Students are selected through a lottery which will take place this year on Friday 24 February. In the event of full capacity in a school, parents have the option of traveling to another campus. Interested parents must present the necessary documentation to the corresponding school before February 23.

To be eligible, children must be four years old by September 1. More information call 305-995-7632 or between HERE.
