Counties in central Florida are at risk from rainfall and lightning, especially on Volusia, Seminole, Orange, Osceola and Polk, explained Sergio González, weather expert for Telemundo 31.

“At noon we will see an increase in cloudiness. In Volusia there could be lightning and in the afternoon all the rain with lightning could move around 1 or 2 p.m. towards the area of ​​Seminole, Orange, Osceola and Polk “Around 3 to 4 p.m. or 4 p.m. all rains may intensify for the last three counties. At 6 or 7 p.m. it might start to clear, especially for the Volusia area,” Gonzalez explained.

In fact, the National Weather Service (NWS) has issued several alerts for the area. Several cities are the subject of warnings or advisories following the storms.

The state’s east coast is under a strong wind advisory, while the cities of Daytona and Flager are under a coastal flood advisory through 5 a.m. Tuesday.

On the other hand, East Brevard has a coastal flood warning and there is also a small boat warning on the west and east coasts of the Indian River to the south.

The gale warning expires this Monday at 6:00 p.m.

Rain will remain over the region throughout the weekend.
