According to the British newspaper Daily Mirror, the monarch would have already decided who will be in charge of directing the patronage from now on and representing the royal house in the different organizations and public entities that have members of the royalty as honorary presidents.
“Before even being officially informed, the queen already knew that Harry and Meghan had no intention of returning, so in her head she already had the names of her preferred candidates to fill the roles they have left,” explained an insider.
According to other sources around Buckingham Palace, the sovereign would have already materialized such ideas on paper and communicated to her closest advisers – and those affected, of course – how the organization chart will look after the departure of Meghan and Enrique.
The same newspaper assures that Princess Anne, 70, will become the new Captain General of the Royal Marines, while Prince Edward – the youngest of the four children of the queen – will replace Meghan Markle as patron of the National Theater .
