NEW YORK – A 64-year-old cyclist was killed Wednesday night after being hit by a speeder in the Bronx, New York police said.

The tragedy occurred around 11:40 p.m. while the cyclist was riding on Avenue Pierce. At that point, the white van slammed into him, the uniformed woman said.

The victim was taken to hospital where she died.

So far, no arrests have been reported and the police are investigating the facts.
