A pedestrian was killed in an accident in Miami Gardens early Monday morning, police said.
Shortly after 5:30 a.m., Miami Gardens police moved to the 2700 block of 199th Street in northwest Miami-Dade.
The driver was traveling southbound on NW 27th Avenue when he struck a pedestrian crossing the westbound lanes of 199th Street, police said.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver apparently remained at the scene.
The streets in this area remained closed in the early hours of the morning.
