Caltrans announced scheduled nighttime closures of Highway 5 northbound between Artesia Boulevard and Carmenita Road on Sunday to repaint and change lanes.
Closures are scheduled as follows, but are subject to change.
11 a.m. Domingo to 5 a.m. Monday:
- All lanes of I-5 northbound from Artesia Boulevard to the Carmenita Road entrance ramp. Detour: Artesia Boulevard West to Carmenita Road North to I-5.
- The northbound ramps at Beach Boulevard, Artesia Boulevard, and Valley View Avenue.
- Connector for State Route 91 westbound to I-5 northbound.
From Monday 11 a.m. to Tuesday 5 a.m.:
- I-5 northbound on all lanes from Auto Center Drive to Artesia Boulevard. Detour: Left on Auto Center Drive, right on Western Avenue, left on Artesia Boulevard to merge onto I-5.
- Northbound Beach Boulevard access ramp.
- Connector for State Route 91 westbound to I-5 northbound.
