Nicki Nicole has decided to open up, and with her, the sky has also begun to clear of its gray clouds. She did it with “I Won’t Cry :’)”, the first single from “ALMA”, a project that aims to be the most personal and honest in Argentina to date.

A few days ago, she showed small brush strokes of what was to come through two notes. Along with the song title, she wrote the following: “I don’t expect you to understand my balance, to walk on safety I need tremors. Only then that I have the intuition of the power of stability, only this fear has the taste of reality.”

The theme was accompanied by a music video directed by Lucas Vignale and produced by Búnker, in which the artist takes advantage of the rise of the so-called accelerated songs to sing the quick start of a bathtub, a fragment which, in addition, could find a place among the TikTok viruses. The footage rewinds, collecting her tears, indicating that she has begun to heal with her music.

Nicki paces the wet streets and sidewalks as a metaphor for all the tears she wasted on the wrong person, but there are no more tears.

“When I told you all my fears, instead of consoling me, you laughed,” she sings.

“This song is my fearless emotions, the first cut of what it was like to open my soul to music, to heal through it, and now to be able to share it with you,” she explained in a post on the presentation of this work. “Thank you for supporting me in this new stage, where my emotions and my soul come together to be able to give them my 100%. Without prejudice and without fear, I share ‘I Won’t Cry :’)’.”

At the end of the video, the singer looks up at the dark sky after hearing the sound of lightning. Then the storm breaks. A symbol and a reference that many fans captured the first time. “Have you thought about the thunder that appears at the end and then the rain follows? Don’t forget that someone once dedicated the phrase: ‘If you are the rain of thunder,'” a fan commented on YouTube. But now I don’t know. And so Nicki Nicole says goodbye to being thunder rain.
