Netflix has changed the way you share an account: it no longer allows you to do so away from home
I don’t think I have to explain too much about the latest controversial measure that has been put in place netflix in countries like Spain. In summary, you cannot share an account outside the home, thus limiting your subscription to the four walls of your home. Say goodbye to those accounts shared with friends, and we welcome additional bill payments so we can keep benefits like 4K at a discount.
However, this action has been underway in Latin America for a few months. Something must have happened in these countries to Netflix started doing something unthinkable just a year ago: lowering its prices.

New Netflix prices in Bolivia, Cuba or Venezuela

- Netflix Standard: $5.99 (instead of $10.99).
- Netflix-premium: $7.99 (instead of $13.99).
New Netflix prices in Honduras, Dominican Republic or Guatemala
- Basic Netflix: $4.99 (instead of $7.99).
- Netflix Standard: $7.99 (instead of $10.99).
- Netflix-premium: $10.99 (instead of $13.99).

- Basic Netflix: $4.99 (instead of $8.99).
- Netflix Standard: $8.99 (instead of $12.99).

Will Netflix sales come to Spain after out-of-home account sharing ends?
These countries received the end of out-of-home account sharing long before Spain or Portugal. Therefore, it is believed that the reduction in their prices is due to the massive drop or cancellation of subscribers who did not receive the measure well. It is expected that with these discounts, many lost users will pay Netflix again, yes, individually or by sharing only at home.
The question we now ask ourselves is whether this Netflix price reduction will reach Spain. It would not be the first time a measure is tested in Latin American markets, to extend it to other countries.
