The renowned international beauty pageant, Miss World, announced that its 70th edition will be held in December in Puerto Rico with the participation of 120 candidates.
The Miss World 2021 venue was announced by Stephanie del Valle, Miss World 2016, through a press conference that was broadcast exclusively through the beauty pageant’s official Facebook page.
“It is a great opportunity to promote Puerto Rico, especially during an international live broadcast with an audience of 2 billion people where the island will stand out as a top tourist destination,” said Del Valle.
The final night of Miss World 2021 will take place on December 16 at the Coca-Cola Music Hall theater in San Juan in Puerto Rico. During the gala, the Jamaican Toni-Ann Singh will crown her successor, who will be based in London to fulfill her commitments with the Miss World Organization.
The television network Telemundo Puerto Rico will have the rights to broadcast this year’s Miss World in Spanish, as reported The Weekly Journal.

Miss Universe also returns this 2021
The 69th edition of the Miss Universe beauty pageant already has a premiere date this year. The Miss Universe Organization announced that the 69th edition of the important beauty pageant will be held in May in Florida with the participation of 67 candidates.
“The moment we’ve all been waiting for. The 69th edition of the Miss Universe is heading to Hollywood, Florida. The Miss Universe will be broadcast live around the world from the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Sunday, May 16 at 8:00 pm ET, ”the organizing committee announced on Instagram.
