It’s been four times since the start of 2023 that snow has fallen in the Las Vegas Valley.
Residents of southern Nevada woke up March 1 to heavy rain and snowfall in the Summerlin, Centennial Hills, Southern Highlands, Henderson and Spring Valley areas.
“Snow has fallen in parts of Las Vegas for the past few hours,” the National Weather Service (NWS) reported on its Twitter account.
The average annual snowfall at Lee Canyon Ski Resort is 129 inches. So far this year, the station has received 193 inches.
The NWS said additional snowfall could occur Wednesday evening.
