Although the Luther series is not well known in our country, the truth is that it enjoyed a very good reputation in the United Kingdom and the United States. This BBC production starred the famous Idris Elba and had 5 seasons, ending in 2019. Now, almost 4 years after his last appearance as John Luther, Elba gets back into the detective’s shoes to star in the movie Luther: Nightfall. These are the keys to this long-awaited return.
When is Luther: Night Falls coming out and on what platform?
Luther: Night Falls was released last month, in select theaters. But the film only lasted two weeks. Luckily, it’s a Netflix production and, As for Glass Onion, it will be available on the platform soon after its release. It can be seen on Netflix from March 10.

In February of this year, the first trailer for Luther was released, and based on what’s shown in it, the film will feature an updated version of the series, with a much larger budget. The trailer gives us a nice look at the villain played by Andy Serkis.and also reveals that Luther will be leaving London to visit other places.

Will this be the start of a new Luther saga?
Although Nightfall is meant to close out the Luther franchise, It is possible that Netflix has in mind to produce a new saga of films starring the character of Idris Elba. The streaming service has yet to comment, but if the viewing figures are good, it wouldn’t be surprising if we end up seeing the detective in other adventures.
