I’m not a big fan of remakes (except if they turn out as good as Resident Evil 4, because I’m not blind either); I see them as an excuse for companies to cash in on your nostalgia. But I don’t like them because I think there is a better way to perform this last action and without charging you a single euro: demakes. Those versions of current games that attempt to imagine what they would look like on consoles of past generations; being the amazing Dead Space demake the one I’m going to focus on here.
The thing is, the designer known as Fraser Brumley released a Dead Space demake that attempts to imagine what the game would have looked like if it was released on the original PlayStation. - It’s a demake that recreates what we can see in the game in an incredible way, since it reinvents it like it’s a game from the early 2000s: polygons with jagged edges, not very good resolution… this demake has everything to please
