This afternoon, a group of activists demonstrated outside the ICE offices in Plantation to speak out against allegations of immigrant abuse at a migrant detention center in Florida. For this reason, they are asking for its closure.

They don’t give drugs to people with chronic conditions, which causes problems for people with diabetes and high blood pressure who don’t get drugs. And that causes some people to have a lot of complications.

“We have had many reports through people visiting and people who have left, many reports of abuse, physical abuse, sexual abuse, medical negligence and limited access to their lawyers, which is a serious situation when you risk being deported.
