Just a few days ago official previews of the upcoming Huawei Mate X3 leaked, taking advantage of what Leaker Ross Young released some specs on his Twitter account.

Now there has been a new leak of information about the high-end foldable phone that the Chinese company has practically on the launch pad.

According to a post on the famous DigitalChatStation’s Weibo Chinese Twitter (a fairly solid source on these topics), the Mate X3 will be equipped with an internal folding screen of 120Hz refresh rate and 2K resolution. The diagonal will be 7.8 incheswhich matches previous leaks.

Another of its data sheds light on the camera system that the foldable phone will have. Apparently the the main camera will use a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor while, according to previous rumors, the wide angle will be a Sony IMX688the last lens being a Sony IMX351 periscope.

We also have good news for fans of the wireless charging: the Mate X3 will be the first foldable Huawei to support this feature. The company has found the necessary space for the charging coils that take care of it, despite the fact that the device will be quite light and resistant.

In the list of leaked specs we find a IPX8 waterproof certificate, which means that the devices will be able to withstand immersion up to one meter deep for up to 30 minutes. The Kunlun glass, located behind and above the 6.45 inch OLED displaycompletes the Mate X3 protection package.

Finally, previous leaks indicated a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processorthe same as used in the Galaxy Fold 4, but the difference here is that the Huawei Mate X3 will use a modified version to use 4Gdue to the restrictions imposed by the United States (which we have talked about at length) which do not allow having 5G on their devices.

The phone will come with a 4,800mAh battery, with support for 66W fast chargingand will also have satellite communication integrated. It is a function that seems to be gradually entering the world of smartphones, ideal when we have no coverage, but it remains to be seen in which regions of the world it can be used.
