In literally a few hours it will be released on mobiles and PCs Honkai: Star Rail, the new turn-based combat RPG game developed by the creators of Genshin Impact, the Chinese study called HoYover. Many players are ready to play the game from 1 minute, and the positive side is that it can be done thanks to the fact that title can be pre-downloaded and leave it installed before it becomes available. If you want to know what time will you be available to play, look at the following post:
If you are one of the players who will play from minute 1 to Honkai: Star Rail, then you want to know what is the first banner in the game, that is, the first attainable 5-star playable character in the title. In this article, I will give you all the details about this banner and the characters in it, as well as the composition of the banners and how to get these characters. I will also explain what are the elements and the Ways.
The first banner of Honkai: Star Rail, that of version 1.0
The banners have the official name “Event jumps”, where you will have a higher chance rate of getting a specific 5 star character. And they have already detailed in the official website of HoYover the first banner in the history of Honkai: Stellar Rail:
available characters
- Soul: 5-star character belonging to the “Hunting” Path and the “Quantum” Element.
- Hang: 4-star character belonging to the “Destruction” Path and the “Fire” element.
- For the: 4-star character belonging to the “Nihility” Path and the “Ice” Element.
- Natasha: 4-star character belonging to the “Abundance” Path and the “Physical” Element.
What are Banners/Event Jumps?
In Honkai: Stellar Rail There are 5-star and 4-star characters, with 5-star characters generally being more powerful and sought after by players. However, most 5-star characters they can only be obtained when they appear in an event loot/banner. That is, since the 5-star character on the first banner in the game is Seele, you have a chance of getting it. However, if you don’t get it and the banner expires (which will be 3 weeks after the game launches), you won’t be able to get it until Seele appears in a banner in the future (fact called replay). There are also 5 star characters that can be obtained permanently in another type of banner called permanent banner. I leave you more details on the two types of banners below:
- Permanent Banner: this banner never changes and is always there since the release of the game and forever. And in this banner there are usually several 5-star characters, there is no pity worth it, so you can touch a character at any time or never touch it (if you are very unlucky) and , generally, permanent characters tend to be worse characters
- Promotional banner: with every game update, usually every few weeks, they add a new banner with a new character (or one that existed a while ago) and remove the old banner. These characters are the ones worth it, because they aren’t always around and they’re usually better characters
If you want to know more about what is the damage, the 50/50 and how the characters are obtained, you can see in this link. But to recap, you spend a type of currency called No Star Rail (it’s for the promotional banner; for the perm it’s called Special Star Rail pass) take a ride on a banner. You’ll get a secure item or character, but the least likely to get are always 4-star or higher items and characters. And the 5-star character belonging to the current banner is the most difficult to obtain.
What are the Paths and the Elements?
The Ways are used to distinguish the type of combat of the characters. There are 7 in total, so I leave you their names and descriptions below:
- Destruction: the characters of this Path are what one could call Pure DPS; excellent fighters in frontal attack and, in addition, they are stronger fighting alone.
- Chase: specialize in deal high damage to a single enemy.
- Erudition: unlike those on the hunting path, scholar characters specialize in fight against various enemies, and have abilities that your team can benefit from in battle.
- Harmony: characters over support which serve to increase teammates’ abilities, damage, and/or stats.
- Nihility: Unlike the characters in Harmonía, they are responsible for hinder the enemy, making them weaker.
- Preservation: defense experts, they serve not only to take more damage but also to defend their allies.
- Plenty: These characters are those with skills that can heal allies.
On the other hand, they are the elements. These are used to determine what types of attacks each character will use. And these are more effective against certain enemies depending on the element (as for example in pokemon, that Water-type attacks are effective against Fire-type Pokémon), but there will also be enemies that resist certain elements, so you have to know well which characters you have to fight based on their elements and mannerisms.
