During Star Wars Celebration 2023 earlier this month, it was announced that Daisy Ridley would return as Rey Skywalker in a new Star Wars movie set 15 years after The Rise of Skywalker. It’s very likely that other familiar characters will also make an appearance, and now it’s rumored that John Boyega could reprise his role as FN-2187, better known as Finn.
During an episode of The Hot Mic podcast, John Rocha said he heard from several sources that John Boyega was returning:
“I’ll tell you this. I’ll break it myself. According to some sources that I know, different sources have contacted me because of this show. And they told me that according to them and what they are l audience is that John Boyega is coming back for this movie.”
When a fan on social media asked Boyega if he was interested in doing more Star Wars, the answer was; “Lol, no thanks. I’ve moved on.”
Of course, the above report might just be a false rumor. But the fact that there are negotiations, discussions and hopes of reuniting the most beloved characters makes it likely.
