In this guide I will tell you step by step how to complete the side mission “The Need for a Friend” of Hogwarts Legacy. It is not at all a difficult mission to do, although you have to face a troll, so prepare your wand to fight. I’ll also tell you what rewards you’ll get for completing it, as well as how to start it.
“The Need for a Friend” Side Quest Guide
how does it start
To start this mission, you need to go talk to Sirona, the owner of Las Tres Broomsticks. He will tell you that there is a box with letters from his old friends that you should retrieve, which are in a cave. But first, you better talk to Dorothy Sprottle, who’s in High Hogsfield.
How to complete it
Go where the map tells you, i.e. Dorothy’s location. Talk to him and give him horkumps. If you don’t have enough, you can easily find some in your nurseries or in the caves around you. After that, you just need to go to the cave indicated on the map, called Horklump Hollow.
Once inside, all you have to do is go to the bottom of the cave, where you you will face a troll. Defeat it with your full range of spells, and once you’ve done that, keep going until an exit is nearby. near that there will be a box with cards and 5 more loose cards lying around. Pick them up and exit the cave.
Return to Sirona to give her her cards and receive the reward.
