A Miami-Dade County high school teacher has been arrested and charged over allegations of child abuse and what the district called “inappropriate conduct.”

Mohammed Ahmed, 28, faces charges of child abuse, manipulation and insulting students by an authority figure.

The professor was later released on $22,500 bond, according to the arrest report.

Ahmed was listed as a social studies teacher at Country Club High School in Hialeah.

Miami-Dade County Public Schools released a statement saying they were “deeply concerned about the allegations of misconduct against this individual.”

“When the administration was alerted to the allegations, he was removed from the school environment. After a thorough investigation by the Miami-Dade Schools Police Department, this individual was arrested. of dismissal and will ensure that the individual cannot seek employment in the district in the future,” the statement read.
