Miami police are investigating an armed robbery of two Dutch tourists, which allegedly took place early Monday morning.
Police said around 4:53 a.m. they responded to 555 15th Street in northeast Miami following reports of an armed robbery in which two victims allegedly had their items stolen of value at gunpoint.
No injuries were reported, police said. Detectives are actively investigating the case, in which, according to one of the women, she was punched in the face by one of the robbers.
The woman reports that her Rolex watch was stolen and tells how the events happened. “I met a boy who lives in Miami, he agreed to take us to the hotel (…) when we were going, armed people came to attack us. He knew my name and asked me for my watch , so that person already knew, he signed me up with a gun to my face,” he said.
No further details of the incident, which is under investigation, have been reported.
