Warner’s idea is to turn the seven books into seven seasons, making each of the episodes much more faithful to the novels. Thus, we can expect each book to extend into seven or ten chapters being much more detailed than in the film; despite the fact that potters have always applauded how close the saga came to being totally true to heptalogy.
But with this new announcement comes the big unknown. It may have been over a decade since Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II came out, but no one has forgotten that Harry, Ron and Hermione are Daniel Radcliffe, Rupper Grint and Emma Watson. For this reason, finding another leading trio – not to mention other faces for the characters of beloved actors from Alan Rickman, Robbie Coltrane oh Maggie Smithamong others – will be quite a challenge to be overcome by public approval.
What can we expect?
Fans were divided: there are those who see a new saga, in order to take advantage of the CGI advances of recent years and attract new audiences for the Wizarding World; although there are also those who believe that it is still too early to make a reboot of such a recent and beloved cinematic saga.
Despite this, and if it is finally carried out, this series could result in a bunch of situations that weren’t seen in the movies. If they are totally faithful, they will finally see Peeves, this rogue poltergeist who sets out to annoy the inhabitants of Hogwarts; We’ll see a lot more Dobby, and even such memorable scenes as the Astronomy Tower battle will be seen in depth.
