Hundreds of college students across the state of Florida have planned protests against Gov. Ron DeSantis’ proposals because they believe they discriminate against students from the LGTBQ community.

This Thursday on the campus of Florida International University (FIU), dozens of students gathered, signs in hand and shouting slogans, making known their position in the face of new policies proposed by the governor of the state.

Students from Miami Dade College and NOVA University also joined the protest.
