All entrances to the Fort Lauderdale International Airport have been closed this Thursday morning as police investigate a possible suspicious package in the vicinity of the facility.
Outside terminals 2 and 3 just before 2 am, a suspicious package was found that at this time is being investigated by agents of the Broward Sheriff’s Office who, after arriving at the scene, quickly closed all access roads.
Some airport employees have been able to enter with their respective IDs, but others are still outside waiting for instructions.
The authorities advise travelers to check the status of their flight before arriving, as delays are expected.
