A mansion valued at $6.49 million dollars, owned by Oren Aviv, a Hollywood movie producer, was destroyed by a raging fire early yesterday in Suffolk County, Long Island (NY).

Images obtained by the New York Post show the dramatic inferno that completely consumed the nine-bedroom, nine-bathroom mansion.

The devastating fire occurred just before 12:25 a.m. Friday, authorities said. Fire spokesman Chris Brenner said that although the flames were contained within 30 minutes, “the house was 100% lost.”

The mansion, where construction work was taking place, was empty when the fire broke out and no injuries were reported during the extinguishing of the fire. The origin of the flames is under investigation.

The land occupies 2.4 acres and is located at 144 Edge Of Woods Rd, Southampton. The construction occupied 9,538 square feet, according to the Zillow portal. Owner Aviv, 61, has written and produced blockbusters including “National Treasure” (2004) with Nicolas Cage.

Also on Long Island this week, an 80-year-old woman was killed when her home caught fire. Her daughter was rescued by a brave neighbor, while two firefighters were injured, Nassau County authorities said.
