The Dungeons & Dragons universe is back with this new franchise from Paramount Pictures
Today the last episode of Dungeons & Dragons. Although unrelated to the previous film trilogy, this film is the birth of a new franchise who builds Primordial Photos environment of the famous role-playing game. The film directed by Jonathan Goldstein there Jean Francois It’s garnering good reviews from specialist critics (like my colleague David’s review in Areajugones) and it remains to be seen if viewers will react the same way. Dungeons & Dragons 2 is not confirmed
The second installment of this new Dungeons & Dragons franchise has yet to be confirmed by studio Paramount Pictures and production company eOne.. However, after the consensus between the critics of positive opinions and the enthusiasm of the public in this first weekend, if the film obtains a good box office, everything seems to indicate that there will be a second part. Although the film works well as a stand-alone story, the fact that it has a post-credits scene added to the words of its directors and screenwriters, Jonathan Goldstein there John Francis Daleymakes us think a sequel is pretty much certain: “If we’re lucky enough to do another one, then I think there’s so many places to go. We created these great characters that we would like to see where they are in a year or two“
The universe will expand with a series of Dungeons & Dragons
With a cinematic sequel in the air, the universe of Dungeons & Dragons will continue to develop into a series that prepares Paramount+. It is a live action series for the streaming platform Paramount+so we hope that in Spain it will come out in SkyShowtime. The first season would have 8 episodes there Rawson Marshall Thurber (Red alert) was in charge of the screenplay for the first chapter. The project belonged to eOnebut Paramount Pictures took over the production rights to the film Dungeons and Dragons and now this new series which we hope will build on the characters and stories featured in the film.
