Walt Disney World sued Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, arguing that he waged a “relentless campaign to weaponize the power of government” against the company.
The federal lawsuit says a campaign to punish Disney for its political views was “orchestrated at every turn” by DeSantis and now threatens the company’s business.
The lawsuit sharply escalates the long-running feud between DeSantis, who is expected to become a top Republican candidate in the 2024 presidential race, and Disney, Florida’s largest employer.
