COVID-19 prevention: Google encourages the use of masks in its latest doodle

“Use a mask and save lives”, under that slogan Google recommends that people use the masks correctly, in addition to other basic measures to stop the advance of the coronavirus

In its latest doodle, Google encourages people to continue to use masks properly to avoid the contagion and spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19). In animated art, it is also appreciated that the use of a double mask and social distancing are recommended.

“The masks are still important. Wear a mask and save lives, “ reads the Google post .

“The masks should be used as part of a comprehensive strategy of measures to suppress transmission and save lives,” warns the WHO , but also clarifies that the use of the mask must be added “physical distancing, ventilate rooms well, avoid crowds , wash your hands and cover your mouth and nose with a bent elbow or with a tissue when coughing ” .

WHO basic guidelines on how to put on the mask:

• Wash your hands before putting on the mask, and also before and after removing it, and each time you touch it.
• Check that it covers your nose, mouth, and chin.
• When you remove the mask, store it in a clean plastic bag; if it is made of cloth, wash it every day and if it is a medical mask, throw it in a garbage can.
• Do not use masks with valves.

Scientific studies support the effectiveness of the use of the mask as one of the measures to avoid the spread of COVID-19. The Lancet magazine published a study in mid-2020 that concludes that its use helps reduce risk.
