We had to wait longer than we would have liked because of a small delay but it seems that finally the new musical adventure of Ruth Lorenzo it’s almost here. The countdown to receive his new EP, The Queenit has already started and it is that there are barely 10 days left for his musical return after Loveaholic (2018).
During all this time, the Murcian soloist has not stopped working, appearing in television programs, composing and publishing songs until she has finally shaped this reduced-size album which will consist of 4 songs: Libre, Reina, Tú and Woman.
Libre was the first single from La reina, the EP that the Murcian singer would release in November in response to her record company’s refusal to release her third album, Crisálida, which she had been working on for so long to end up being saved in a drawer. These disagreements with his record company led him to doubt the path to follow in his musical career. But far from throwing in the towel, he decided to move on.
“This month, I sat down to chat with @harpersbazaares about this new stage that begins with ‘La Reina’. I live more than ever in the present and feel like I’ve taken the reins of my project . I feel like my voice matters and not just for the stage, which I never want to get off of,” he said on his official Instagram profile where he announced an interview with Harpers Bazaar magazine.
Everything seems to indicate that Ruth Lorenzo pulled out any type of rope or leash that could try to control her steps and launched herself into success in a wild way. “#LaReina without a crown is because she’s still standing,” the artist said, revealing the sad situation she’s had to deal with lately.
And it is that each message that he publishes releases this certain air of sadness for his musical situation. Although if the Murcian artist clarifies one thing, it’s that she still has a lot to sing: “It was a magical process carried out in an analog way in the studio where I had the chance to use equipment and microphones from the 60s and 70s to achieve a unique and clean sound”.
And the first to benefit from it will be her fans since the artist announced that she would organize a “secret evening” to present her.
