The Nevada grand jury opened a case against Nathan Chasing Horse on Wednesday that includes 19 criminal charges.

The federal court added new charges of kidnapping, drug trafficking and obscenity.

The former actor was already facing charges of child molestation, human trafficking, child abuse and child pornography after an investigation led to his arrest in January.

Chasing Horse also faces multiple similar charges in four jurisdictions.

He remains in custody at a Las Vegas detention center with bail set at $300,000.

Court-appointed attorney Kristy Holston currently represents Chasing Horse and shared, “We believe it would be more appropriate for the state to present its evidence in a public hearing where the defense can reveal the weaknesses of the state matter in the court record.”

Earlier this month, prosecutors for the Fort Peck Tribes in Montana charged the former actor with aggravated sexual assault in connection with a 2005 rape.

Ken Trottier, a tribal court criminal investigator, said Chasing Horse was removed from the reservation nearly 10 years ago due to alleged links to human trafficking.

The actor is recognized for his role in the film “Dances with Wolves” with Kevin Costner.

More recently, the actor has come to prominence as the cult leader of a Native American community known as “The Circle,” according to the Metropolitan Police Department in Las Vegas.

The leader of “El Círculo” was the group’s healer, which gave him access to native girls whom he abused and groomed to become his wives.
