Twitter It’s a place I liked more a few years ago, I’m not going to lie to anyone. Now it’s a platform that helps me to be able to do some of my work. Of course, if someone asked me at some point ‘Why would you never use Twitter?‘ It would definitely be to read people’s opinions. Because? Because The network today is infested with arrogance and moral superiority that doesn’t care to condemn things it doesn’t know about. An example? Something like “Berserk”.

Twitter calling Berserk almost a crime should be a crime itself

In effect, messed up on Twitter as it has already been turned upside down in the last year of 2022 with the launch of “Elden Ring”, a video game that drinks “a little” from “Berserk”. But come on, the problem now is that there are people who cancel people for the simple fact of reading “Berserk” (basically saying that ‘if you’re reading this, don’t follow me, and if you’re following me, stop doing it‘). In the following tweet you will find the juicy:

And now we’re going to touch on the little subject a little bit because the social networks that today are really all about taking bread and getting wet:

  • To begin with, I need to inform myself a little more about the issue of last year’s controversy, because since AnimeMotivation picked up how many women started criticizing Berserk for being something like a misogynistic trash who rejoiced in filthy porn. I will simply say that if this is not the greatest proof of how much criticism is made on the internet without knowing the facts I don’t know what else it could be, because Guts’ childhood was very cool, huh?
What Guts has to endure apart from reading is not written, oddly enough
  • Berserk is hard to read, but living in a yuppie world is undoable. Although I haven’t gotten to that point in the manga yet, in the anime “the scene” with Griffith and Casca seems the hardest I’ve ever seen, to the point that I had to stop watching at a certain moment. Sex in Berserk is not sex, it is a tool to show conflicts, emotions and intentions. If you try a little, maybe you will understand..
  • The big problem with criticizing Berserk as misogynistic is that with the way the reading is beastly because, again, no one can take it away, that’s how you can figure out why you see what you see. Everything has a reason, no matter how twisted. Now, if I turn to Kimetsu no Yaiba, whose owner of the post I shared seems to be the biggest fan, can someone explain to me the need to sexualize a design like Daki’s? Because in Berserk we are dealing with DARK FANTASY, but in Kimetsu no Yaiba there is no need. And no, I’m not criticizing Kimetsu no Yaiba and I don’t want to, I just want to show that absurdly intolerant anyone can be.

Did I warm up? Well yes the truth, I will not deny it. But I’ll never understand how it got to the point where freedom of speech is confused with being able to trample on anything and think you shouldn’t care in the least. Perhaps among all the bad things social media has done is the fact that it has created an alarming insensitivity to the other side of the screen. Honestly, it’s a shame, because few journeys through the psychology of human beings will find one as vibrant as “Berserk.”
